Animal rights Activists beautifully redesigned the exterior of a massive chicken harming facility. We acted in solidarity with the animals and other groups of activists in an attempt to resist the significant repression activists are currently facing under the regime of Jason Kenney (the premier of Alberta).
The recently proposed ‘Bill 1: Critical infrastructure defence act’ criminalizes nearly every form of peaceful protest, directly contradicting the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. If this Bill passes, activists who engage in peaceful trespassing, blockading, or interference against ‘critical economic infrastructure’ OR aiding anyone who chooses to do so would be liable for up to $10,000 in fines and 6 months in prison even as a first time offender. This Bill also grants ‘peace’ officers the ability to arrest protestors without a warrant. Before even announcing the Bill, it had passed its first reading with a second reading scheduled for the next morning. Bill 1 was a direct response to the Wet’suwet’en solidarity blockades, but it affects us ALL.
Just months prior to its proposal, Jason Kenney introduced a similar Bill which targeted animal rights activists who trespass onto rural property for the purposes of exposing speciesism or aiding animals towards liberation. That Bill passed in 10 days.
We vandalized this place of extreme violence because Jason Kenney told us not to, and because NO ONE is free until ALL are free.
Fuck your ag gag laws. Fuck Bill 1. Fuck fascism.”

“UK lockdown was announced just hours before we were due to set off. What to do? We had planned another rescue in Lincolnshire already and loving homes were waiting. After careful consideration we decided that with only 2 activists (who had already had contact) we could afford one more venture without increased risk of spreading the virus to anyone vulnerable. The only increased risk we could see was that of our liberty if we were caught; that was a risk we were willing to take in order to save lives.
Under the cover of darkness, we drove to our target, feeling very aware of the increased volume of cop cars at the side of the road. Our greatest fear was being pulled with the animals on board before we could get them to safety. Luckily, the cops did not pull our car.
We knew this location well, it was our third visit this week. Each time we had been careful to leave no trace of our visiting, thus enabling a return to the same target. We couldn’t help but wonder if the scum who abused these animals had noticed that 71 chickens had now been liberated from the hell hole in which they were kept.
Knowing the place well made this a quick and easy rescue. We had found homes for 16 more hens, so we quickly collected 16 from the shed and took them back to the car.
The remainder of the night involved driving round and delivering these hens to their new homes (with no human contact).
Thank you to everyone who is able to provide homes for liberated animals, we could not do this without you.”

“After extensive planning using satellite imagery, we had located some barns typical of egg farms in Derbyshire, UK. For this location, we had to park on a country road and cross many fields by foot.
After reaching the target, we figured out the best point of entry, and 2 climbed in whilst one stayed outside as lookout.
As two of us jumped through the hatch, inside the shed our breath was taken away by the overwhelming stench of ammonia. We were shocked at the poor state of those birds… we’d never seen such pitiful looking chickens – they were naked and thin. One of us scooped up the birds quickly whilst the other arranged them comfortably in the carriers. When the carriers were full my mate called ‘that’s it’… ‘one more!’ I replied, unable to bring myself to leave them, I grabbed the saddest looking chicken and we left with 32.”
In this video you can hear Mel talking about what it means to receive letters whilst in prison. Mel Broughton spent quite a few years locked up (and a good few afterwards on tag) for their actions to further animal liberation. He is a good reference to explain why letters to prisoners are so incredibly important.
In this times of lockdown and widespread actions to contain a virus, prisoners have it hard. In many prisons a “two week lockdown” has been imposed, where folks have to stay 24 hours a day locked up in the cell. No access to anything else, no access to the outside, to a cafeteria where they might be able to swap their yogurt for an apple, no access to showers, to library, nothing. It is a hard time and you can do something about it.
The first part of this call to action is for you to write to a prisoner, or two. Maybe make it a daily routine where you write something for someone each day and post a bulk of letters once a week. It is up to you, but send some letters to prisoners. You can find a few addresses on our website under “prisoner support”.
The second part of this call to action is more specific. Leonard Peltier was locked up in 1977 under completely fabricated evidence accused of the murder of two police officers. Although since then it has been proved that ballistics, forensics, testimonies and even the murder weapon was completely fabricated by the FBI, the courts have always denied a second trial. His release date is non existent as court recoded his sentence as “life”. The only reason for this is because Leonard is a resilient native rights activist.
He has multiple underlying health conditions that make him vulnerable to any viral outbreak in prison. Due to the fact that the US Attorney General has given the power to the Director of Bureau of Prisons to release vulnerable prisoners to home confinement, we should all do some effort and help Leonard get back home, where he can be safe and at least, a little safe.

“Tonight was our second visit to this location in Lincoln. With just two of us tonight, we had put careful planning into how we could take the maximum number of lives we could carry.
We encountered few obstacles upon entry and were able to save 29 lives.
When leaving the area, we sighted a human on their phone, close to the site. This was a strange sight at this time of night. Were they calling the cops? We didn’t hang about to find out!
All 29 chickens are now living life as they should. They are now truly free-range (as opposed to the pathetic excuse for free-range they previously experienced), their eggs are eaten only by themselves, their bare raw skin will start to heal and, most importantly, they will not be exploited and killed.”

According to media reports, a hunting lodge in Lapugnoy was completely destroyed by flames late on March 27. It was the third hunting lodge to be set on fire in the north of France in one week.

There is something inherently beautiful about a colourful riot. Do you know when the cops are walking down the street with their robot costumes singing the tune of the imperial march and everybody is a little bit excited and a little bit scared? Then all of a sudden, balloons start flying in their direction and there is an explosion of colours over them, covering their helmets, their googles and their shields, making them unable to see and also sad, wet and very sticky? Well, that is how you would make the streets colourful again. Or you know, if you want to visit the ministry of defence as you believe their murderous grey doesn’t suit very well their loving attitude towards people and would like the building to look deep red. Whatever floats your boat, we’ve got you covered (in paint). To make paint bombs you will need:
Paint.
Water.
Sand.
A recipient that can be thrown, like water balloons or Christmas baubles.
This recipe is simple.
Dilute the pain with 1 part of water, two parts of paint. This will make it runny, so if you want it to be a little stickier you might want to skip this step.
Grab your throwing recipient (if it is Christmas baubles you’ll need to slowly remove the top bit where you would hang it and fill up about 1/4 of the volume with sand. This will give it incredible aerodynamics, helping it fly exactly where you want it to be.
Add the paint and water dilution to the recipient and then close it. If using baubles you might need to hot glue them.
Throw wherever you want them to explode. We would never recommend anyone throwing them at people or private property so our recommendation is, of course, throwing it at white canvases and then capitalising on them by selling them for a million dollars each.
Other ideas might include filling up fire extinguishers with paint, or water pistols. The sky is the limit (or gravity in this case).
