RWE COMPOUND SABOTAGED.

4th January, Hambacher Forst.

RWE COMPOUND SABOTAGED.

anonymous report:

“2018 has begun – RWE are smashed!

We are a group of autonomous anarchists. We are nature defending itself, acting to protect the Hambacher Forest and the world from RWE and capitalism.
In this action, an area of RWE was destroyed. The area was previously part of the forest. RWE cut all the trees, destroyed the habitat of the living beings, built new structures, fenced it off, and observed it with cameras. These structures would help them to destroy the rest (226 hectares) of the 12,000 year old forest (originally 5500 hectares) for their profit with lignite/browncoal, which produces 90 million tons of CO2 per year.

This are was opened by us again and given back to the forest. The material they used to kill the forest is now being used to protect the forest. The structures inside are no longer available to RWE, so they cannot use them to destroy the forest further. We left messages to RWE, expressing our feelings towards them.

As RWE cut trees in the Hambacher Forest outside of the winter cutting season, it shows that they do not care about the law any more than we do. We do not want them to claim this area of mutilated forest for themselves, and will make it as difficult as possible for RWE to build new structures here and anywhere else in the Hambi.

RWE bribe local community organisations, and put pressure on local resistance groups. Police claimed that more militant action would result in greater repression, and would cause them to evict and cut the forest, making it the fault of activists that trees are cut. This action is to show that the resistance will not stop just because they are trying to scare us.

This is just the start of the fight back for 2018. The resistance will be really intense now, and will escalate to be even worse if there are any evictions. It was said before the cutting season that no tree will be cut for free – the more they cut the more expensive it will be. The same for evictions. Therefore it would be better for RWE if they shut the mine now and leave the forest.

Happy new year! RWE bleibt nicht!”

SOLIDARITY WITH THE J20 DEFENDANTS

20th January, 2018.

On January 20th, 2017, tens of thousands of protesters welcomed Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day with blockades, protests and militant actions. As a result, the state arrested 230 people and 200 of them were later charged with “property destruction”, “inciting a riot”, “conspiracy to riot” and “taking part in a riot”. This means that each one of these people is facing 61 years in prison.

A call to action has been announced for the 20th of January, 2018, to show solidarity with the defendants.

Banner drops, graffiti, anti-capitalist stalls, anti-fascist documentary screenings and militant actions are encouraged under the frame of “Call for worldwide solidarity with the J20 defendants”.

Show them love and solidarity and do your part. Show the estate wherever you are that repression against our comrades will only increase the chances of an uprising. Make the governments afraid again!

ANIMAL LIBERATION FRONT – 2017 DIARY OF ACTIONS.

Earth First! Journal has compiled a list of actions taken by the ALF around the world during 2017 and reported in Bite Back magazine.

It is brilliant to see how different types of actions work in different places and how some countries that hadn’t had a single report before are now catching up.

See the list here:

10 CHICKENS LIBERATED

New Years Day, North UK

10 CHICKENS LIBERATED

“On New Year’s Day the ALF entered a chicken facility in the north of England and liberated 10 chickens from a life of suffering and misery.

The ALF started 2018 the same way they want to end it, with animal liberation.

Get active. Take action. Empty all cages. “

Solidarity with our comrades, non-human and human.

THERE IS NO REST.

ON LOVING AND FIGHTING

I am aware that we have already published an end-of-the-year photo but this member of the collective has many things in their head.

We call ourselves anarchists and we call ourselves activists. We basically mean that we refuse hierarchies and that we can see a better world and that we will act to reach that world. We aren’t dreamers, we are warriors.

There is no doubt that the road is hard and that the work is not easy. We endure the fight. Day after day we stand up and oppose the oppression. Night after night we reach out to show the alternative. “There is no rest”, we say, and we actually mean it.

We fight. We get wet and walk on the mud and stay awake all night to keep guard. We force our fear to quiet down when a riot cop runs towards us. We submerge ourselves on missions that could make us lose our freedom for decades. We fight.

We fight with passion because we are warriors. We fight because without fighting we would not be able to change the world around us. We fight because we love.

It is only because we love that we have to fight. Only because we cannot see the suffering in front of us and keep passive. We only fight because we love.

Loving and fighting keep being my only focuses in life. So long as I love the Earth, so long as I love its inhabitants, so long as I love freedom, I will fight.

May your future bring you reasons to love and reasons to fight.

UNTIL THE NEXT RIOT.

THREE PIGS LIBERATED.

July 27, the Netherlands.

“We entered the pig farm at night. The stable was very dirty and full of cobwebs. The mothers were locked up in cages where they could barely take a step. They are now in safe hands and they escaped the slaughterhouse.”
