SWEDISH COMRADE IS IN NEED OF HELP TO COVER COURT FEES, AND YOU CAN HELP!

A Swedish comrade contacted us to inform us of a court decision to fine them with 10600 SEK (885 GBP, 1171 USD, 1034 EUR) that they must pay before the 5th of January.

They were sentenced to two different crimes. They accepted the charge of vandalism at a mink farm, where whilst at a demonstration they painted the perimeter walls with “murderer” and splattered paint around. They were also accused of the liberation of a rabbit in a rabbit meat farm where ALF stickers and spray painting was also found. They maintained their innocence concerning the rabbit liberation, but the judge decided they were responsible for both of the actions.

They have also received a non-custodial, suspended sentence.

The comrade is not someone who can afford this fine. Whilst talking to them yesterday, they said that they were looking at taking a fast loan to pay for it and this is not something that we as a community should ever allow. We are all one, and we all will fight back against the injustice of the so-called justice system.

We know that 10000 SEK is a lot of money, and we know that not one single person can donate the whole amount, but we have a month to fundraise and we have no doubt that in between everybody that follows Unoffensive we can raise enough funds to help cover that fine and avoid a comrade fighting in the frontline to have to get into sticky situations taking loans with a horrible capitalist business that without a doubt will charge them a huge interest for it.

We will constantly update the money raised and will ensure to let everybody know as soon as we hit the target of 850 GBP.

RABBIT FARM RESISTANCE UK; ALL OUT AGAINST T&S RABBITS.

Welcome to The Frontline, a new series showcasing campaigns from around the world. As always, Unoffensive Animal encourages submissions. If you think a campaign should be featured, reach out! You’re welcome to make suggestions but you’re encouraged to draft stuff too, no one knows your campaign better than yourself! T&S Rabbits is a British company farming rabbits for their meat. Legally speaking as they are not breeding animals solely for fur and rabbit pelts are a byproduct of their murder, they get away with the fact that they are indeed a fur farm in a country where fur farming was outlawed twenty-one years ago. They are also known to use their rabbit farms as a loophole to build brick and mortar houses in unspoilt countryside. They justify building non-permanent buildings to house farm workers, then they turn those buildings into mansions once enough time has passed. Then they move the farm to a different location and sell the property for a huge profit whilst feeding the sprawling monster that devours unspoilt and wild areas.

We have heard of T&S before as multiple direct action reports have been sent to Unoffensive Animal, breaking the news of fur farming in the UK and showing the conditions inside the farm, but direct action is not the only opposition that T&S has to face.

Rabbit Farm Resistance UK is a campaign fighting every inch against T&S Rabbits. They organise protests in front of the farms and they very efficiently monitor all planning applications that the company puts forward, ensuring that every time they ask for a new dwelling or permission to build a slaughterhouse or even to set up a new farm, they can call to arms and vehemently oppose the application, counting with hundreds if not thousands of objections every time Mr Kerry applies for something new.

And they are winning. In the past year, they have managed to shut down multiple applications in different parts of England whilst putting pressure on other government bodies to stop the activities of the farms that are still active.

In September they organised a demonstration in front of one of the farms that developed into a farm invasion. The only worker and resident within the compound retreated into their home, giving access to the farm and allowing the activists to document the conditions inside the farm. Those photos and videos would then fuel an even stronger opposition to the company as they were horrific stills of the torturous life that rabbits must endure awaiting their slaughter.

At the end of that demonstration, two rabbits who needed immediate medical care were given a new life, and both of them are recovering from the abuse and learning to trust others again.

PRISONERS OF THE STATE, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!

When was the last time you wrote a letter to a prisoner? From animal rights and eco struggle to anti-racist, anarchist and anti-fascist prisoners, many folks are locked up due to their political fight.

Sending dissenting activists to prison is a fairly common tactic by governments, not only in an attempt to silence those taking action but also to inflict fear and doubt in others who might consider doing the same.

For that reason, supporting political prisoners is not only a necessary act of solidarity with those incarcerated, it also is a way of ensuring that those who are not being targeted by the state feel that if the time ever comes they will also be supported.

Today, grab yourself some paper and write a letter to a prisoner. Write to someone you’ve written before, or write to a stranger, that does not matter! But ensure you write a letter to a prisoner and open a new window within their concrete walls.

If you don’t know what to say or you’ve never written to someone incarcerated, simply tell them about your day, or about the last time you went for a walk in nature or a moment in your life that made you very happy. It doesn’t matter, simply talk to them about anything and everything except for maybe their case (especially if they are awaiting trial) or anything that could be understood as illegal.

Every prison (and sometimes just some prisoners) have mail restrictions. These vary vastly but for the most part if they are allowed to receive mail the safest way to send it is on white paper and using black ink. You can check on specific prisoner support groups to know if the person you’re writing to has restrictions. If they don’t, colourful postcards, news clippings and photos will always be a wonderful addition to your letters!

TRAIN TRACKS SET ALIGHT IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE GIDIMT’EN CLAN.

“This morning in Montreal, two tire fires were lit on the CN railway tracks in the neighbourhood of Pointe-St-Charles, at the choke-point of the train yard exit.

Care was taken to ensure there was no risk of derailment. A long straightaway location was chosen, and timing was based on the first scheduled Via passenger train of the morning. As the train approached, an individual stepped onto the track waving two road flares. When the train came to a stop, tires that had previously been filled with cotton towels were placed onto both tracks. They were then doused in gasoline, and the road flares were tossed in from a safe distance to light them up. The action was quick and easy, required few people, and ensured the train was able to stop and not hit the items placed on the tracks. Rail service was interrupted for at least two hours.

We acted in solidarity with the Gidimt’en Clan, who yesterday faced a raid for defending their land, water, and sovereignty. We cannot allow this RCMP action to go unanswered. For every highway blockade, a railway signaling box torched. For every RBC branch deprived of its windows, an RCMP vehicle up in smoke. For every railway blockade, a pipeline valve site sabotaged. All our solidarity with the land and water defenders on the Yintah, let’s answer their calls to shut shit down!

70- 100 DEER HELPED TO FREEDOM – UNDERGROUND BADGER SYNDICATE (4th June 2019)

On the 4th June, 2019, @undergroundbadgersyndicate reported that after cutting the fencing off a deer farm in Germany they had managed to release up to 100 deer into the wild.

In the same report they mentioned multiple hunting towers and huts being destroyed as well as trail cameras stolen from hunters.

The anti hunting action comes in multitude of flavours and over the years has proven to be quite a good link between animal liberation folks, eco struggle people and the non activist folks who still want the wild to be left alone.

The struggle against hunting unites folks from many different ways of life whilst pushing a big majority of them to take direct action, regardless of them being seasoned activists or just locals against the injustice of hunting.

From Hunt Saboteur groups to teams fighting the badger cull in the UK, folks who stop the duck shoots in Australia, anti bear hunt activists in the USA or the infamous female-led Akashinga group in Zimbabwe, direct action against hunting is a prevalent force to allow the wild to remain wild.

“WE ARE BACK AND KICKING HARD – 100 DEER LIBERATED FROM A BREEDING FARM, MULTIPLE TOWERS AND HUNTING EQUIPMENT DESTROYED.

Whilst out and about in Germany, we received a tip-off that made our stomachs turn. Within a national park, the licensed hunter that murders wildlife in the name of conservation has a side gig. He is breeding fallow deer in an enclosure and shooting them from a tower inside. He is also leaving the dead corpses and bones scattered around the enclosure, the sick fuck.

We didn’t waste any time and got to work quickly. After cutting a sufficient hole in the perimeter fence we herded them out. Not an easy task when deer seemed to have been conditioned to stay in, making them struggle to see they could now run to freedom. In the end, in between 70 and 100 deer were freed into the wild.

After running around in the field to show them the way, we headed to the nearest shooting towers and either made them fall or made them unsafe.

On our expedition, we found trail cams connected to a SIM card and disconnected them from the network before taking them with us. They will prove useful during the badger cull. It was quite a good surprise to see footage of the dickhead in his own home, trying the camera out before setting it up in the woods. He truly is a piece of shit, the footage shows multiple stuffed dead animals in his living room including deer heads, a bear and a stoat.

A second team visited the area the day after with an angle grinder and a chain saw to make sure the remaining towers were completely destroyed.

Let this be a reminder that no one is safe -wherever the fuck they are – if they are fucking with wildlife.

Fuck hunters wherever the fuck they are.
