PRISON SUPPORT – SIX PEOPLE ARRESTED IN FRANCE AND ACCUSED OF ARSON AT A SLAUGHTERHOUSE.

 
Different French newspapers have reported six folks having been arrested last weekend just after a fire had started at a slaughterhouse.
 
According to the filth, they had been investigating the group for a while and they are accusing them of an arson at a hunting federation building. The police was on site when the slaughterhouse fire happened and they report the activists moving the animals away from the building before setting some bales of straw on fire. Cops also say they are linked to multiple anti hunting actions during November. They are accused of criminal damage and being part of a “criminal gang”.
 
They are all on bail and under investigation. No support group has approached Unoffensive for help, but we will be very happy to aid in whatever way is needed.

PRISON SUPPORT – THREE PEOPLE IN PRISON ACCUSED OF “PROPERTY DESTRUCTION”. ANOTHER PERSON FINED 10,000 SWISS FRANCS FOR BEING PART OF AN OPEN RESCUE.

News arrive from our comrades in Switzerland. Three people are in preventive prison accused of property destruction in relation to multiple actions against speciesist business after a wave of window breaking in Switzerland. They will be held for a whole month before seeing the judge, even though the police has no evidence that links them with the butcher windows targeted or any other actions. They are being isolated in order to keep them away from news, they are not allowed to receive letters and the lawyers have warned that more arrests are still possible. 

Meanwhile, an activist involved in a slaughterhouse blockade and open rescue of goats early this year has received their sentence and has to pay 10,000 Swiss francs in total. They have a gofundme and it would be appreciated if people donate and share as much as possible.

It is in times like this, when the state clamps down with repression overwhelmingly higher than the judges action that we need to realise they must be scared of the tactics. And it is in times like this that we should show solidarity the most.

He is enduring very difficult times with his partner dealing with thyroid cancer treatment whilst the screws keep moving him around, now to a high security facility. STATE REPRESSION – ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST TARGETED. 

This morning we received an anonymous email from a British activist. We would like to quote a few of their words.

“Yesterday I was sentenced for going into “free range” broiler facilities, to film and expose the truth, of what free range really is. 

…

When I was arrested at my home it was done by 8 police officers, with 4 marked police cars outside my home and 2 of the officers were actually armed.
I was alone at the farm and 17 years old at the time.

…

It was a sentencing hearing for a guilty plea to “criminal damage”.

…

240 hours of unpaid work and an order to ‘Not linger within 200m of any private land where the intent is for the raising or slaughter of livestock for the next three years’, which makes me unable to even join a Save vigil.”

This is just one of the many examples of how the system works. The system will try to silence us, it will try to quiet us down and to make others blind to reality. The system will favour capitalism over any ethical standpoint. Profit over anything.

It is on us to retaliate and to show we are fearless. It is on us to stick our middle finger the the legal system, to the capitalist system and to the government structures. We are born free and leaderless. We are born without hierarchies.

Let this be your start to smash the barriers that we are forced to in society. Let this be the story that makes you realise we are not working within the system, but to tumble the system until it falls.

Smash all hierarchies, hierarchies between human and non human animals and hierarchies within society.

Solidarity with our troops.

WRITE TO ANIMAL RIGHTS PRISONERS!

We previously posted about the charging and imprisonment of Sven Van Hasselt for their involvement in the SHAC campaign, detailing his 5 year prison sentence and partner Natasha’s 2 year suspended sentence.

We would like to encourage all of you to set some time aside today to write a letter for Sven and Natasha. We do not want either of them to feel alienated, and want them to know that they are not alone. They were so fearless in their involvement in the SHAC campaign, and now we must support the both of them in this period of state repression.

RAMSEY ORTA PLACED IN SHU FOR 60 DAYS. 

Ramsey Orta, the man who filmed the death of Eric Garner at the hands of the NYPD, has been placed in solitary confinement for 60 days. ‘Orta is currently serving a disgusting four-year prison sentence after he was targeted by the NYPD for filming the death of Garner at the hands of the NYPD back in 2014, sparking riots, protests, and uprisings across the US.’

Ramsey is facing relentless targeting and abuse by the prison guards. Since he began serving his ludicrous 4 year sentence, he has been repeatedly assaulted and attacked and placed in solitary confinement on multiple occasions.

‘Someone in Ramsey’s support network visited him and said he looked really pale and was in a bad space. He saying he being continually harassed and violated. Ramsey’s legal support are doing their best, but this abuse is taking a toll on Ramsey, and he needs our support more than ever. We are asking folks to share this post. We are asking folks to write Ramsey and let him know he is not alone.’
