“We came across a small partridge shooting set-up near to the White Horse in Uffington. The birds were already out, so the best we could do was disperse them as much as possible, and cost the game keeper some time and money.

The open pens were trashed, and the water butt was emptied. The fountain of water was used to soak the seed in the seed butts, which were then emptied. All the feed will have to be replaced, the water butt will need to be refilled, the pens replaced, and the gamekeeper is going to have to play a fun game of finding where else we poked holes, damaged fencing, and caused other damages. Finally, we channelled our inner Theresa May and ran through the fields, chasing hundreds of birds away. Let’s hope as many as possible stay as far away as possible This was a super easy action, and we encourage everyone to do the same on your countryside walks. If you see pheasants, partridges, water butts, small patches of cornfield, and/or blue feeder buckets in a field or patch of woodland, there will be a pen nearby.”

“Liberation of 56 hens in a farm in Burgundy, France

A thick air with a pestilential smell. Dirt, dust and excrement everywhere. The deafening noise of incessant ventilation. Thousands of individuals confined and cramped together, treated like nothing more than commodities to be exploited. This is what witnessed when we entered this place. These hens never see the sunlight. Their legs lie on metal supports. Some show missing feathers, with sad and defeated gazes, literally being shat on by their peers in the rows above them. Twice during the summer, armed with our lamps, our boxes and our determination, we liberated 62 of them from this hell. What a powerful feeling to escape through the night with them in our arms toward their new freedom!

They are now living in safe places where they can be cared for, discover and explore their new environment, meet and bond with their new human and non humans life partners. It is worth reminding that hens are curious, social and intelligent animals.

Antispeciesism is a political struggle and a battle we wish to lead alongside other animals as comrades, directly in the places that exploit them. We must never forget that direct action only exists as a response to a systemic and trivialized violence: the one of which animals are victims.

Un air lourd et une odeur pestilentielle. De la saleté partout entre la poussière et les excréments. Le bruit assourdissant de la ventilation incessante. Des milliers d’individus enfermés et entassés simplement considérés comme de la marchandise à exploiter. C’est ce que nous avons vu et senti en pénétrant dans cet endroit. Ces poules ne voient jamais la lumière du jour. Leurs pattes reposent sur des supports métalliques. Certaines sont déplumées, le regard triste et résigné, se faisant littéralement chier dessus par leurs voisines sur les rangées au-dessus d’elles. À deux reprises au cours de l’été, armés de nos lampes, de nos cartons et de notre détermination, ce sont 62 d’entre elles que nous avons sorties de cet enfer. Quel sentiment puissant de s’enfuir avec elles dans nos bras à travers la nuit vers leur liberté nouvelle !

Elles sont maintenant dans des endroits sûrs où l’on prend soin d’elles et où elles peuvent découvrir et explorer leur nouvel environnement, rencontrer et créer des liens avec leurs nouveaux partenaires de vie, humains et non humains. Many people rescue animals of this species alongside the police, but they must prove excessive abuse, and the animals must be in very poor condition. A lot of evidence must be gathered for the law to help these animals, which are misnamed “farm animals.”

Estos bebés muchas veces nacen dentro de los mismos mataderos o arriba del camión camino al infierno.
Y no hay ninguna ley siquiera que prohíba la venta de los mismos , por eso aplaudimos esta acción.
Muchas personas rescatan animales de esta especie junto a la policía, pero deben comprobar un maltrato excesivo, y tienen que estar en muy malas condiciones y hay que reunir muchas pruebas para que la ley ayude a estos animales mal llamados “de granja” .
Otrxs elijen comprarlos para que no sean asesinados , pero eso condena a que muchos más sigan siendo comercializados por esas personas, además la vida de un animal no humano no tiene precio.

Tomar acción directa y sacarlo de esos lugares y cambiarle el destino aúnque corramos el riesgo es lo que corresponde, lo más noble, lo que le debemos, la liberación animal total.”

We paid a visit to Twycross zoo, a prison notorious for abusing the animals they exploit in the name of entertainment. There’s nothing wholesome about taking your family out to gawk at mistreated animals who belong in the wild. This zoo pretends to care about ‘conservation’ but really just imprisons animals in small unsuitable enclosures so they can make money from visitors, no matter the cost to the animals trapped there.

We made our stance opposing this abuse clear, we covered the entrance of the zoo with red paint and spray painted over their signs.

Fuck you Twycross Zoo, we know what you do and have heard what’s happening when the visitors aren’t looking.

Captivity is not entertainment, empty all the cages!

On the nights before the opening of the hunting season in september, all over France, dozens of hunting tours were sabotaged to oppose the opening of the hunting season.

Hunters use these towers to counter any defense of the hunted animals and so we chose to destroy them out of solidarity.

Hunting is a masculinist murderous practice that harms first and foremost non-human people murdered by hunters, but also all minoritized people. It reinforces the violence of cis men. Weapons in hand, they think they control non-humans and their habitats, but also women, gender minorities and children. We act in solidarity with all forest dwellers and all other people who are damaged by the hunters.

Some figures about France:

• 97% of French hunters are men
• 1/4 of femicides are committed with hunting weapons
• There is no law prohibiting children from going hunting from the age of 15, a minor can practice “accompanied hunting” from the age of 16, a minor can take his hunting license and use a weapon
• in 2023, the State has committed to paying new aid to hunters (€60 million over 3 years)
• More than 1.5 million euros have been distributed to the federations for various “educational” projects

Anti-speciesism is a political struggle connected to all the others. When we normalize the violence of speciesism (a system of domination based on species), we fuel racism, sexism, ableism, MOGAI phobias…

The animalization of bodies makes it possible to justify all oppressions, an “animal” body is a body that can be crushed.

“In the early hours of Tuesday 5^th June, the Bristol branch of Rentokil, “the worlds largest pest control company” got visited by some uncontrollable pests, who took their time to make sure every tire was slashed on the 4 vans, then spraypainted and smashed at least one passenger window on each. Hidden away on a quiet industrial estate in south Bristol they had a surprising lack of cameras for the “the worlds largest pest control company”, any and every company that is complicit in the murder and torture of non human comrades is a target. A local shout out to the animal lib anarchists in the midlands and up north who are maintaining their attack on such targets and the liberation of comrades, let’s see some more of that down these neck of the woods!
