HUNTERS’ CARS VANDALISED, TYRES SLASHED, HUNT SUPPORTING BUSINESS TARGETED.

“Spain seems to have no shame. Yesterday I heard of an organised hunt that was being publicised openly in a town over the public megaphones. The lack of organised hunt saboteurs brought me to the realisation that the hunt needed to be stopped differently.

I arrived at their meet and waited for all cars to be parked and emptied, leaving only the dogs inside whilst the hunters drunk coffee and alcohol in the bar. I approached the building to glue the locks with some hair clips and superglue. The owner won’t be too happy when they try to close the place up! Maybe that makes them think about hosting hunters at their place again.

I then deflated the tyres of three cars. The other two had protection so they had the luck to be slashed instead! After I was sure that cars would not be moving anywhere in the morning, some of the car windows were destroyed with a rock. Wondering about the noise and the dogs barking some of the hunters came out, so I had to flee leaving the job half done.

Next time, they won’t have a single window standing.

Stop the hunt. Stop the killing.

We’ve been missing a real activist-run, animal-rights-based, radical
action camp, so we decided to make our own. In the Heart of the
Hambacher Forest, a landmark of anti-capitalist and climate justice
resistance, we will be hosting our first antispeciesist event.

THIS EVENT IS FREE. With our concept of Anti-Capitalism, we do not
believe people should have to pay to learn, share knowledge and take
part in actions. Donations are well received as the occupation can
always do with some funds, but they are not necessary! (We have been
told they really like chocolate, hint hint!)

THIS EVENT IS VEGAN. We would like the space to be vegan and the
participants should be able to respect it. We dumpster dive most of our
food and although the forest has a divide between freegan and vegan
diets, the Antispeciesist Space will remain fully vegan.

THIS EVENT IS ACTIVIST RUN. We are all crew. We all take turns to wash
up dishes and to cook dinner, we all collect firewood and build a fire!
From each according to their need to each according to their ability, do
not be shy to help out!

THIS IS AN ACTION EVENT. On our first day, we would like to discuss
different actions that could take place during the week. Depending on
the skill level and legal comfort we will make a decision to take action
one way or another. Bring ideas and listen to the group, we are sure
that whatever is decided will be a wonderful action!

THIS EVENT IS BASED AT THE HEART OF A COMMUNITY. We will be sharing the
forest with others and many have lived there to protect the trees for
years. Some are VERY camera shy. Taking photos of the occupation is
wonderful, but DO NOT take photos of activists without express
permission. The same way, phones aren’t very welcomed in plenaries and
workshops. Trust us, you’ll feel a massive relieve not carrying it
around at all times!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
You should firstly bring yourself. Call in sick at work and avoid going
to uni, what’s best; being a wage slave or fighting for the animals?
There is a list of things you could bring with you but if you don’t have
something specifically DO NOT WORRY, we will find a way.

– Sleeping bag and mattress
– Tent (it would be good to bring them depending on how many we are!)
– Rage
– Head torch
– Love
– Warm clothes
– Boots
– Hugs (but please ask first before sharing them!)

HOW DO I GET THERE?
If you are coming from outside of Germany, Cologne has great bus
connections! Check FlixBus and get yourself here! From Cologne, you will
need to grab the train line “S-Bahn” to BUIR. S12 to Duren will work,
but google map it if you’re lost!
Once you arrive at Buir’s train station, go down the stairs and turn
left. Keep walking over the motorway bridge and another 200m until you
arrive at a junction signalling left towards Morschenich. Take the left
and carry on walking straight until you see an airfield to your right.
Then use the sand road to arrive at The Meadow and say hi!

Come whenever, come for the event, come before and stay for years or
come for the weekend. It is up to you!

IS IT REALLY FOR FREE?
Yes. Food, smiles and a place to sleep, all for free. Fuck capitalism
big time. We are here to change the world, not to become part of the
system.

NEW ANIMAL RIGHTS PRISONERS. 

Sven and Natasha were sentenced yesterday. Charged with “conspiracy to blackmail” on their involvement with the highly successful SHAC campaign, Natasha was given 2 years in prison suspended for 2 years (which means that her conditions will be horrible and alienating and that if she breaches ANY she could be sent to prison) whilst Sven was given 5 years in prison.

This is a show of the state repression and their protection of capitalism. This is another example of how the system works to protect itself, to put profit over anything else, to eliminate the threats.

Sven, Natasha and many others involved in SHAC were true warriors against vivisection. They were fearless and they were effective. They run a campaign so incredibly powerful that the government had to make up laws to stop them.

Don’t let the state win and do not let Sven or Natasha feel alienated.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT! 

Over the past week, we have received a lot of donations. Sadly we didn’t reach out the amount we needed so we are gonna have to rearrange trips and miss out on a little bit of the adventures, but we will be still travelling and covering the major events!

It humbles us that so many people are willing to put a little bit of money so we can do our job. We cannot express how eternally grateful we truly are.

It is a strange life, in all honesty. Speaking as the travelling activist within the collective, I never know what’s going to happen next. I never know if I’ll be sleeping under a bridge one night and trying to dumpster dive in the worst supermarket of the area or if an activist will be picking me up from the bus stop and cooking the most delicious meal to then sleep on a sofa in the warm. It gives a chance to the adventure, but it also is a great opportunity to learn how to survive. I wouldn’t change it for anything.

In the next two months, we will visit about 5 countries to be on the front line and bring you the stories as they happen. We will give workshops, train activists, take action and help with infrastructure. We will answer many emails asking for direction in people’s activism and send multiple copies of our prisoner support list. We will do what we are supposed to do on the tightest budget possible because we fucking hate money. I will probably keep eating from the bins because food waste sucks and I will most likely sleep on a bench more than one night, but all that is THANKS to you. You enable us to be able to carry on doing all this. You are saving animals. You are fighting climate change. You are speaking up on gender issues and you are rejecting Nazi scum from neighbourhoods around Europe. You are empowering activists directly and indirectly to become a powerful tool against oppression. You are a fucking heroine!

LOCKS GLUED, NOTES LEFT IN BUTCHERS’ SHOPS. 

22nd January, Italy.

During the night, an ALF cell in Italy connected seven butcher shops in Via Padova. They left notes reading “MEAT=MURDER” and “FREE ANIMALS”. They also made sure that the locks would not open when the butchers try the next morning.

“We wanted to give a clear message to these animal torturers. We are not waiting any longer. Every day there are thousands of animals imprisoned, deprived of their lives and freedom to end up in a slaughterhouse with a blade on their throats. Horses, cows, lambs and rabbits are treated like objects and not sentient beings. This is unacceptable and we must stop this violence by any means necessary.

PIG LIBERATED

HAMBACHER FOREST UPDATE!

The barricade eviction is underway. The police violence is increasing by the minute, almost all tripods and monopods have been evicted.

The arrestee tally goes up to 15 as of right now, but it will increase. There are random police controls around the forest where people have to undress. Someone came out of a search with injured ribs.

Meanwhile, the hole is still occupied by someone, although a generator and lights have been brought so it seems that the cops are going to dig for a lil while tonight.

We need people to be fighting in every corner of the world right now. Show the system that you do not agree with the massacre that the world will endure if we lose our trees and animals. FIGHT BACK.

HAMBACHER FOREST UPDATE!

COPS ARE INSIDE OF THE FOREST. They have decided to enter to clear the barricades. Multiple people are being arrested, The Meadow has been cordoned out and there are activists in tripods and monopods all over the place.

An activist has been found 5 meters deep underground chained up to a lock on.

This is your time to act. Wherever you are in the world, find an RWE target and cover it with paint, sabotage it, attack it in any way. If you are in Germany, hang an activist from a motorway bridge so climbing cops have to be diverted from the forest.

WE ARE ALL RESISTANCE.
