239 HENS OPEN RESCUED

“During several nights, we took a total of 239 hens from cages and aviaries.

What can I say when it’s still the same and still the same? When the dust, the stench, the halls full of feathers, the screams of stolen lonely lives are not lost anywhere? That sometimes it hurts a lot and sometimes even more? That it’s a kind of instinctual sadness? That one of the few moments when it’s better inside is the moment we leave the hall and a couple of hen girls with us? Time to smile that at least someone, at least a few lives, we took from that desperate industrial misery and out of unkind human hands.

I feel sorry for those who are staying behind in those halls, and more and more of myself stays there with them.

We thank everyone who provides safe homes, everyone who helps us find them and everyone who supports us, for example by a good word or by sending a message about rescued animals. This story is yours too.”

SUPPORT DJURFRONT

A memeber of @djurfront was recently sentenced to pay a fine of SEK 8,732 which is around 866 euros, £734 or $1002. This fine was given after someone started a siren during a demo at a mink farm in Glommen, Sweden. A friend of the owner of the fur farm claimed he suffered damage to his hearing and reported the activist for assult.

This comes after a series of police repression against actvists protesting the disgusting mink farm owned by Niclas Petterson, who has himself attacked multiple demonstators over the years.

There has been continued pressure applied on Niclas and his mink farm from both over and underground actions. Including the staging of his own funeral in his front garden and an arson attack on his vehicle as well as regular protests.

Suport the campaign and those fighting it, show solidarity with the mink and those taking action to get them out.

Fuck fur farms and anyone invloved in the fur trade.

GAME BIRDS RELEASED FROM A STATE OWNED BREEDING FACILITY

“On 09/18/2021, ten pheasants and quail were freed from captivity at the E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area in Oregon.

Fencing was cut at the sides and the top edges of the enclosures, then we stepped in and guided the birds toward the holes and watched them fly away into the night. A few birds hid in the grasses and we were unable to help them exit, but we left places cut in the fencing where they could escape.

In solidarity with all those who use direct action to fight oppression. For the wild!

ARLA DAIRY FARM SABOTAGED. DEDICATED TO WAKA.

“It was a cold shitty night in the South East, we were bored, so for shits and giggles decided to take an impromptu visit to our local dairy cow abusing farm.

After a quick look round and finding some interesting stuff, we got to work. In less than 20 minutes, we’d cut all the milking tubes, empty 2 tanks of bovine breast milk all over their floor, smashed up their calving pattern, took their laptop and relevant paperwork and left them a message telling them to stop fucking with our friends. All in all it was a good night, animal abusing scum need to be told and should pay for what they do……financially, we think, is the best way.

This action is dedicated to the memory of our comrade Waka, whose selfless actions sadly cost him his life. Rest in power friend.

TO WAKA, THREE YEARS ON.

It’s been three years since Daesh murdered you. Once again, through the badger cull, we bash yet another cage on your name.

Three years is a very long time, yet we still remember you every fucking day, and we talk about you often. I don’t think you ever realised how much of an impact you had in so many people. Our shared experiences and adventures fighting coal, sticking the middle finger at cops and ensuring animals got to live another day will forever mark a pivotal point in the way I understand the struggle.

Waka understood that duality between radical action and approachability more than anyone else I’ve ever met. His understanding of optics and his way of acting radically whilst taking care of how it was perceived was something we all should strive for.

And that is probably your biggest legacy, and one that we shall try and learn and try and teach. You taught us so much more than you would’ve ever imagined.

So to everyone that might’ve met Waka, and to everybody else that didn’t, remember that you can lorry surf with a newt onesie, so that the kids like it. Apparently if the kids like it, everybody will.

We shall shoplift on your name, we shall bash the fast on your name, and we shall keep fighting for animal liberation and against the destruction of Mother Earth on your memory. You are never forgotten.

PS: To the mountains and via punk mail, I am sure you will end up reading this. Howling at the moon tonight in the hope that one day we can plant a Waka tree together. Be well.

RAT TRAPS DESTROYED.

“These filthy fucking things are popping up everywhere, found on a housing estate in the south east.

Whilst out minding our own business we came across these disgusting rat traps, rats are cute as fuck, so we took them and destroyed them (responsibly, dont want any other animals getting hurt) fuck you for trying to poison our long tailed comrades. Not today dickheads and we’ll be keeping our eyes open for more.

FUCK THE BADGER CULL

As every year, the badger cull is in full swing in the UK. For anyone who is not aware, the badger cull is a government organised murder of badgers. The government says they do it to reduce bTB in cattle and they allow for the trapping and shooting of badgers as well as the free shooting during the night. 



Thousands of people organise to stop the killing of badgers in many different ways, from groups walking footpaths and keeping tabs on badger setts to folks who will sabotage traps or find the shooters to politely ask them to fuck off. 



A few years ago, some folks within UA set up a little splinter group called Underground Badger Syndicate that focused on sabotaging the badger cull, like many other groups around the country. Now, a collective in its own right, Underground Badger Syndicate is a direct action group sabotaging the murder of wildlife not only in the UK but throughout Europe. During the badger cull, they spend every day and night sabotaging the cull activities in whatever manner they believe is right, and they always need our support. 



We have in the past supported UBS with gear and funding, but certainly, during the cull, they are in constant need of economic support.

FENCING CUT AT BACKYARD PEACOCK BREEDER

February, Brooksville, FL, USA (delayed report)

“In February 2021 we visited a backyard peacock/peafowl breeder near Brooksville, FL and cut the fencing of pens holding around 20 or 30 wild birds. Though not a native species, peacocks can live a feral existence which is much better than being sold as pets or for meat. Simple, low risk actions like this are powerful because they can immediately offer autonomy to non-human individuals living in prisons. Until all are free.”
