WHAT: Eco-anarchist gathering, workshops and inter-struggle mingling!

“Hear ye, Hear ye!! You are invited to five days of cross-movement pollination and solidarity in the form of workshops, skill shares, crafts, games and political education. These gatherings are a space for those who believe in the liberation of all life to put our heads together and dream new worlds into being. Come along and learn about past environmental struggles and movement victories, biocentrism, green anarchy, current direct action and social justice campaigns, and let’s figure out how we can tear the capitalist system a new one.

Beautiful surroundings, kid’s space, live music and late-night jams, delicious vegan scran, and much more, all within a stones throw of Sheffield! Bring ya hiking boots and your dancing shoes, it’s gonna be glorious!

“The Animal Freedom Network 2026 Gathering will be the first event of its kind in the UK for over a decade! This is an essential date for your diary.

Three days of trainings, workshops, campaign updates, and inspiration. New tools and ideas to level up your activism.

A great opportunity to network, form bonds, and build community. Updates from grassroots campaigns, building strategy and action. Tickets are free, but spaces are limited (200), so applying doesn’t guarantee a spot.

Vegan meals are provided by donation.

Parking is very limited, so please use our shuttle service from Wellingborough train station, carpool, or arrange your own parking nearby.

Accommodation is camping only! Please bring a tent and everything you need for three days in a field! There will be limited space for campers, so please let us know in advance if you are hoping to bring one. If this isn’t suitable, please arrange independent accommodation.

Everyone is crew – this is a grassroots event by us, for us, so from washing up to taking down marquees, please help out where you can! Set up will be on the 24th, and break down on the 28th – if you are able to help on either of those days, please do!

Manchester Animal Rights Network has announced a regional demo for World day against animals in labs. read their own words below:

“World Day For Animals In Laboratories – NORTH

Come along to the lawful protest in Manchester on Wednesday 22nd of April. Manchester city centre is littered with companies complicit in animal testing.

We’re marking WDAIL by holding a walking protest tour of some of the companies keeping MBR Acres open.

Meet 12pm at the Emmeline Pankhurst statue in St Peters Square. Ends 3pm.”

WHAT: National protest against animal testing.
WHEN: 25th April, 11am-3pm
WHERE: Trafalgar Square, London UK.

WDAIL has been a historical day of action and protest against animals in laboratories for decades. With a renewed anger towards vivisection, WDAIL 2026 promises to be unmissable. Join fellow activists from around the UK to make it clear that animals in laboratories should be a thing of the past and that people will fight tooth and nail until vivisection is squashed to the ground.

The demo will visit the Department of science, innovation, Technology where experiments take place on Animals, they will also be going to Parliament and the Home office.

Bring placards, rage against the torture and solidarity with the animals locked up and the activists around you.

If you can’t make it to the London demo, organisers are calling for autonomous action against your local lab:

The EF! Animal Lib Stream Squirrels have sent us a promo for the animal liberation stream within EF! UK this August. They are trying to bring more animal liberation to Earth First whilst creating a space for radical animal liberation to grow and share and plot in the UK. “Hey Friends!

We are super happy to announce we have created a little instagram to share with you all the news leading up to the Earth First! Gathering in Wales this August. You can follow us on @RadicalAnimalLib, where we will post about workshops we have confirmed and any other info you might need.

A quick intro to EF: Earth First has been going for the best part of 3 decades, organising gatherings where anarchists and other activists from many different fronts in the UK meet to share what they’ve been up to, the stuff they’ve learnt and the kind of help they might need. It is a DIY event, where you are encouraged to participate in the day to day tasks to keep it going; be it washing up or helping in the kitchen! The event is pay as you feel, although there are suggestions for food and event donations. Veggies Kitchen tends to do the cooking (which is always vegan and served 3 times a day) and you are encouraged to leave your phone behind to have conversations away from microphones. It is a camping event, so you will need a tent or some other form of sleeping arrangement!

Please share the event far and wide. We believe the eco-anarchist movement should be linked to animal liberation and we know that animal liberation activists would massively benefit from immersing themselves in green anarchist environments, mingling with activists from many different fronts, sharing ideas, campaigns and skills. This is a great opportunity to make the animal liberation movement in the UK so much stronger, pushing the grassroots further and creating those connections that will strengthen our movement.

Lets meet in August, learn from other struggles and network with likeminded people. Who knows, the next big campaign of the movement could be brewing in the background at EF! this summer, and it only takes you and a few new friends to start pushing back against the animal abusing machine!
