RECLAIMING BACK BUS STOP ADVERTISEMENT, THE EASY WAY.

You don’t always have to carry a 6-sheet poster with you if you want to do some ad hacks. For a quick, opportunistic, and on-the-go kit that you can easily fit in your bag, you’ll need:

A marker: the bigger, the better
H60 security pin
Tx30
Four-way utility key

Once you’ve done a quick scan to make sure there’s no cops or security around, you can locate the lock. The placement depends on the model, but usually you’ll find it in the bottom corner or middle on the side of the ad. Once you’ve located the lock, take a look and see which of your tools you’ll need. Often, you’ll be able to just pop open the ad with one tool, but sometimes the first lock will just open a panel and you’ll have to locate the keyhole. Remember, some ads open incredibly easily while others are fiddly and mechanisms can be rusty and stiff. Just take a breath and keep trying.

Now that you’ve opened the ad, you can pull the perspex door back as far as it’ll go and start making changes to the existing ad, turn it around and use the other side, or get rid of it entirely.

HAMBACHER FOREST ANNOUNCES A SKILLSHARE FESTIVAL IN NOVEMBER

Hambi folk have asked to extend an invitation to all to join the forest in a nine day long festival and skillshare even at the end of November. Read their words below:

“The festival season is over? Not for us! While RWE is getting closer to us and the local government is already dreaming of getting rid of us altogether, we are still here and making life difficult for the state and capital! The Hambi is acutely threatened again, but we have the will to keep up the resistance together and with fun.

Some of you have already heard and now it is official: there will be a Skillshare Festiwald in November! We invite you to skillshares, music acts, climbing, actions, forest life and much more! The whole thing is as self-organized as possible, which means there is a lot of room for your ideas, wishes and input. So you can also add things to the program when you arrive and there will be a lot of stuff coming up spontaneously which is not in the program yet.

Let’s enjoy together what we defend here, let’s show that we are still eager to resist and whoever falls in love with forest life, we invite them to just stay with us!

A SERIES OF HUNTING TOWER ARSONS MAKES THE POLICE BEG FOR CLUES.

Summer/autumn, Kreis Alzey Germany.

According to local media, the district of Kreis Alzey in Germany has seen a series of arson attacks in hunting towers since mid July. Towers in Albig, Heimersheim, Flonheim, Siefersheim and Bornheim have been set alight, destroying them to ashes but causing no issues to the woods or scrub around the area. The police “heavily suspects arson” and asks for any clues that might help find the culprits. So far, they have nothing to even start the investigation.

PAL ACTION LAUNCHES UNDERGROUND CELLS AND A NEW TARGETS WEBSITE.

Do you live in the UK and hate that Great Britain is complicit in the murder of Palestinians? Have you been to demos, but they just did not cut it for you? Did you consider joining Pal Action at one of their blockades or sieges, but you did not fancy getting nicked? This might be just what you’re looking for!

Pal Action, the British action group campaigning against the weapons companies manufacturing the tools used by the Israeli government to murder in Palestine, has launched a new underground cells call to action.

Previously known for very devastating but arrestable actions, Pal Action has launched Palestine Action Underground, a call for anonymous and autonomous cells to take underground direct action against Elbit and all associates who aid them into the manufacturing of weapons.

They have put together an incredibly comprehensive manual which, even if you are not interested in taking action against Elbit, is an incredible blueprint on how to create an affinity group and take action whilst keeping safe. We would like to mention that some of the tech advice is questionable (we would never recommend anything less than throwaway emails, and drop box is not a safe media platform), but overall they have managed to create a very impressive guide to taking action whilst keeping yourself and your insurrectionary lovers safe.

PIGEONS TRAPPED TO BE USED AS TARGET PRACTICE

Cero Jaulas is a Spanish campaign against the trapping of pigeons by Ciudad Real’s council. Those pigeons are live trapped as “wildlife control”, then sold to birds of pray trainers and to shooting ranges to be killed in bloodsports.

In 2022 they produced a video where they showed this process, animals being trapped in the city, sitting in the cages for up to a week with no shelter and no means to escape, to then be transported to shooting ranges and be put inside a cannon like tube that shoots them up into the sky for some brave human to blast them off the sky with a shotgun.

Over the past year, the campaign has put pressure in the local government to stop this practice both in person and over social media. Last week, they reached out to let us know some folks had also done some adhacking and send a little video.

Whilst the campaign seems young it is a great opportunity for folks to experiment all the different ways they can try in order to stop the local government from murdering pigeons in such a brutal way.

“On a beautiful October night, we sawed down four hunter seats and damaged one. We also spray-painted “Hunting is unnecessary violence” and a greeting from the ALF directly on the game preserve. There the animals are locked up to be gawked at and shot.

Fortunately, we are not these insane and cowardly murderers like the hunters are, but only commit property damage.

But this action was another clear sign against speciesism. This must stop immediately!

“It’s gratifying to see that attacks on the companies and infrastructures that fuel ecological catastrophe are currently multiplying. Even if they’re just a drop in the ocean, they’re an expression of the fact that not everyone is content to make demands of politicians or look on with resignation as the world goes to shit.

On the night of Monday September 18, we added two excavators belonging to the Strabag company to the list of targets attacked under the slogan “Switch Off”. Unfortunately, we were able to extinguished before they definitively disappeared, but it was enough to bring the construction site on Köpenickerstraße in Berlin’s Mitte district to a standstill.

Strabag, one of Europe’s largest construction companies, is involved in every conceivable infamy on the planet, and each of its new building projects means a progression towards the destruction of nature, in favor of concrete deserts that already seem endless. That’s why every interruption of the daily routine is a small satisfaction for us.”
