Defend Direct Action
Summer/autumn, Kreis Alzey Germany.
According to local media, the district of Kreis Alzey in Germany has seen a series of arson attacks in hunting towers since mid July. Towers in Albig, Heimersheim, Flonheim, Siefersheim and Bornheim have been set alight, destroying them to ashes but causing no issues to the woods or scrub around the area. The police “heavily suspects arson” and asks for any clues that might help find the culprits. So far, they have nothing to even start the investigation.

“In Dublin we destroyed a hunting seat. Now instead of being an instrument of death and cruelty it can be a home for woodlice, birds, squirrels, and all the wild beings that live in the area.
We have also continued our campaign of vandalism over the last few months against the advertisement of exploitation and death. Advertisement plays a key role promoting speciesist propaganda and continuing the never ending cycle of consumerist death production.

“On a beautiful October night, we sawed down four hunter seats and damaged one. We also spray-painted “Hunting is unnecessary violence” and a greeting from the ALF directly on the game preserve. There the animals are locked up to be gawked at and shot.
Fortunately, we are not these insane and cowardly murderers like the hunters are, but only commit property damage.
But this action was another clear sign against speciesism. This must stop immediately!

“It’s gratifying to see that attacks on the companies and infrastructures that fuel ecological catastrophe are currently multiplying. Even if they’re just a drop in the ocean, they’re an expression of the fact that not everyone is content to make demands of politicians or look on with resignation as the world goes to shit.
On the night of Monday September 18, we added two excavators belonging to the Strabag company to the list of targets attacked under the slogan “Switch Off”. Unfortunately, we were able to extinguished before they definitively disappeared, but it was enough to bring the construction site on Köpenickerstraße in Berlin’s Mitte district to a standstill.
Strabag, one of Europe’s largest construction companies, is involved in every conceivable infamy on the planet, and each of its new building projects means a progression towards the destruction of nature, in favor of concrete deserts that already seem endless. That’s why every interruption of the daily routine is a small satisfaction for us.”

According to local media, several pieces of logging equipment were destroyed by fire on Highway 110 near Highway 40 in late September.
5th October, Hilton Head USA.

“In Hilton Head, SC I dumped half a bag of fast drying concrete (“quikrete”) into the toilet of Jeff Ware Insurance, a subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance. I agitated the mixture with the plunger to make sure it all got wet and then I flushed the mixture. It was already starting to back up when I left. if everything goes as hoped, the rest of the concrete will dry in the pipes of the building, causing thousands in damage to the system.
As of February of this year, Nationwide provides coverage for the Atlanta Police Foundation. I took this simple action to encourage them to drop Cop City. I strongly encourage others to copy this action. Other Nationwide subsidiaries near you can be found here: https://agency.nationwide.com/search

I am going to be there. Greetings to the wild ones who will also come. “During the night of the 6th we conducted a liberation of three rabbits in the south west of the UK. They lived in horrible hutches with no room to stand up, no toys and no warmth. Whilst they were incredibly scared, they became increasingly curious on their drive to freedom, sniffing our hands and asking for head rubs.
They will now live a life away from exploitation and abuse, able to express their emotions and needs and able to play, binky and run as much as they want.
With this action we remember Waka, fallen martyr in Rojava whilst fighting with the YPG.
To remember is to keep fighting for those who fell and to keep fighting for those who need us.

“It’s with rage and determination that we headed back to the slaughterhouses – which have been the target of the 269LA collective for the past 8 years – and once again grabbed our crowbars to rescue 100 individuals from death in an industrial slaughterhouse !
We have been preparing this direct action for months to ensure its success, as it is difficult to liberate so many animals without being seen or heard.
Slaughterhouses are becoming more and more secure, but we have an overflowing imagination and we’re developing effective plans.
We were 25 comrades from all over Europe, who shared the same story, the one that 269LA writes with its radical theory and practice. The real “nightmare” we’ve been living since almost a year [* An important explanation of the situation can be found in the 296la’s profile] has strengthened our bonds and given rise to a new, closer-knit community, made up of comrades linked by militant acts, friendships, memories of past actions and the determination to revolt.
Because 269LA was born from the blood of slaughterhouses and from the soil of its sanctuary, we were truly reminded of what we are capable of doing together.
After 42 direct actions, which have ignited so many revolutionary sparks and led hundreds of comrades towards direct action, we remembered this beautiful and powerful history and decided that we won’t let it end.
269LA’s contribution has been to shed light on animal exploitation as a social and historical phenomenon, a system of domination in its own right, and to use offensive struggle practices that target its structures. And the animal cause is one of the struggles where the question of the immensity of the task at hand is particularly acute, and thus where reflection on the meaning and the form of political action is most developed.

“As millions of turkeys are soon to be massacred, all in the name of ‘celebration’, we saved three individuals who would have been killed for a Christmas dinner.
We could see the scumbag farmers settling in to go to bed. We watched as they turned out their lights, not knowing that they were being spied on. We waited until we knew we would be able to safely save the lives of three birds.
We crept towards the shed, popped the lock off the door and saw hundreds of turkeys. Knowing that we could only take three, it was difficult leaving the others behind.
This action will not change the world, but it will change the world of these three turkeys.
Fuck celebrating violent holidays like ‘Thanksgiving’ with more violence. Fuck acting like Christmas is a time to be kind when it’s plagued with blood and suffering. Go smash those cages. Go liberate who you can. We must fight against this oppressive system.
To the three individuals who were rescued: you will now know peace, love and respect. You will be given everything you desire to lead a fulfilling life. We hope that your siblings find a way out too.”
