A couple of weeks ago we echoed the boycott of IARC due to their behaviour towards activists wearing a keffiyeh at the 2024 event and their unwillingness to recognize the genocide happening in Gaza.
Last week IARC made a statement which no only showed fence sitting but also promoted narratives directly from Israel’s kool aid sippy bottle. Not only that but we then saw IARC’s founder once again showing their true colours when saying “Equating all forms of Zionism with genocide erases the complexities of this conflict.”
Let us be clear, there is no way to further Zionism without genocide and apartheid, and there are no forms of Zionism that magically hit the delete button on the 70+ years of invasion over Palestine. Zionism’s target to create the estate of Israel over Palestinian land cannot happen without the subjugation of peoples who were there before Israel was forcefully created.
After we had posted about the boycott we felt there was no need to add anything else to the conversation, but their response activated the salty queens in us and we have decided it is now the time to share with you multiple animal liberation events, gatherings and conferences that are worth going to. Over the next few days we will be sharing some of those events so folks can put them in their calendar and participate in meaningful discussion at animal liberation focused events that do not sit on the fence when it comes to apartheid or murdering children.
