We paid a visit to Twycross zoo, a prison notorious for abusing the animals they exploit in the name of entertainment. There’s nothing wholesome about taking your family out to gawk at mistreated animals who belong in the wild. This zoo pretends to care about ‘conservation’ but really just imprisons animals in small unsuitable enclosures so they can make money from visitors, no matter the cost to the animals trapped there.

We made our stance opposing this abuse clear, we covered the entrance of the zoo with red paint and spray painted over their signs.

Fuck you Twycross Zoo, we know what you do and have heard what’s happening when the visitors aren’t looking.

Captivity is not entertainment, empty all the cages!

We dedicate this action to Waka who fought against oppression in so many forms and gave it everything they had, we remember you and we keep fighting.”

“TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF THE HUNT, WE DESTROYED WATCHTOWERS.

On the nights before the opening of the hunting season in september, all over France, dozens of hunting tours were sabotaged to oppose the opening of the hunting season.

Hunters use these towers to counter any defense of the hunted animals and so we chose to destroy them out of solidarity.

Hunting is a masculinist murderous practice that harms first and foremost non-human people murdered by hunters, but also all minoritized people. It reinforces the violence of cis men. Weapons in hand, they think they control non-humans and their habitats, but also women, gender minorities and children. We act in solidarity with all forest dwellers and all other people who are damaged by the hunters.

Some figures about France:

• 97% of French hunters are men
• 1/4 of femicides are committed with hunting weapons
• There is no law prohibiting children from going hunting from the age of 15, a minor can practice “accompanied hunting” from the age of 16, a minor can take his hunting license and use a weapon
• in 2023, the State has committed to paying new aid to hunters (€60 million over 3 years)
• More than 1.5 million euros have been distributed to the federations for various “educational” projects

Anti-speciesism is a political struggle connected to all the others. When we normalize the violence of speciesism (a system of domination based on species), we fuel racism, sexism, ableism, MOGAI phobias…

The animalization of bodies makes it possible to justify all oppressions, an “animal” body is a body that can be crushed.

We cannot envisage the total liberation of oppressed people without our non-human comrades!

The only pests are those who enjoy power and domination. Let’s eradicate their power to cause nuisance, let’s BLOCK EVERYTHING!”

“Following the first action a few years ago, work has kept up work on finding and removing insect glue traps. Three were removed in a recent outing bringing the total to about fifteen. so far. It’s funny seeing the government employees placing them in increasingly hard-to-reach areas to deter their removal. Good fucking luck.

When you go out, look to the trees. Admire their beauty and keep an eye out for white, triangular shapes. Also, hurricanes make for a great cover to go out.

“In the early hours of Tuesday 5^th June, the Bristol branch of Rentokil, “the worlds largest pest control company” got visited by some uncontrollable pests, who took their time to make sure every tire was slashed on the 4 vans, then spraypainted and smashed at least one passenger window on each. Hidden away on a quiet industrial estate in south Bristol they had a surprising lack of cameras for the “the worlds largest pest control company”, any and every company that is complicit in the murder and torture of non human comrades is a target. A local shout out to the animal lib anarchists in the midlands and up north who are maintaining their attack on such targets and the liberation of comrades, let’s see some more of that down these neck of the woods! An international shout out to the ALF comrades in the Netherlands for the burning of 9 slaughterhouse trucks!
